Pharmacovigilance SPIN The PV Special Interest Network (SPIN) was created for TOPRA members in January 2009 to provide a forum for regulatory affairs professionals working in the field of Pharmacovigilance. The inaugural launch was held at the TOPRA HQ, Heron Quays, London on 14 January 2009. At the inaugural meeting, initial membership was 15 and is currently growing; 10 of these members have formed the Steering Group that is responsible for guiding and organising the various SPIN initiatives and activities. Regulatory Operations SPIN About the Regulatory Operations SPIN Biotechnology SPIN Originally established in 1996 as the Biotech Working Party, our aim is to promote the development of realistic, common-sense and science-based approaches to the regulation of biological medicinal products by providing a sound understanding of the basic science and the available and emerging regulatory guidance via a focused education and training programme. Regulatory Intelligence SPIN The aims of the group: Veterinary Regulatory Affairs SPIN This SPIN network group is for TOPRA members involved in the veterinary / animal health field for the exchange of information, discussion of topics of mutual interest and sharing of experiences. A small working group is involved in the development and running of the Veterinary Parallel track at the TOPRA Annual Symposium. Clinical Trials SPIN The Clinical Trials SPIN (Special Interest Network) has been created to share information and experiences on the regulatory aspects of clinical trials. MedTech SPIN Community space for MedTech SPIN - to exchange regulatory intelligence and experiences, particularly useful to those working in smaller companies. Patient Engagement SPIN The aims of the group: New Regulatory Professionals SPIN The SPIN aims to provide information, discussion and networking for all those that are new to the profession and would like to know more about what Regulatory Affairs encompasses. The New Regulatory Professionals SPIN Steering Committee meet on a regular basis to discuss and plan initiatives to support this goal. Chemistry, Manufacturing and Controls (CMC) SPIN The CMC Special Interest Group (SPIN) has been active for over a decade. CMC SPIN was initiated primarily to provide a forum for regulatory affairs professionals working in the field of Chemistry, Manufacturing and Controls (CMC) within human medicine. It currently has over 1600 members from across pharma industry and independent regulatory consultants, with experience of both synthetic and biological products. The membership covers a wide range of levels of experience, from those relatively new to the field to those with many years of experience. A steering group of 12 members coordinates the activities of CMC SPIN. Product information and Labelling SPIN The main purpose of this SPIN is to share regulatory knowledge and experience around product information.This SPIN is open to all TOPRA members who share a common interest in product information and would like to connect with others working in this area. Members of this group could be either working in the field of product information or working with the teams who focus in this area.
